For a long time now poker has been around, but only in the past two decades it become so popular, with more than 137.8 million fans around the world there isn't a single game more popular than it among the casino games. It is said that more than 23% of the US population participates in poker games every week, and more than 17% are playing online poker.

The main reason for the popularity of poker is because it's not a gambling game - it is a game of skill. They are not many players that achieve the highest level of poker playing and that is to participate in the WSOP, but even those who do not reach such level tell that they never felt poker is a gambling game.

Edmond is probably not the only one to tell the same story, from the mid 70's until the end of the 90's Johnny D.G traveled across the US and taught young men and women how to play poker . When Johnny D.G was asked about it he simply noted that "poker is a sport, and I'm just an old coach".
